Auto-Graphics’ VERSO Library Management Platform Integrates with TALKINGtech’s i-tiva
Automated Interactive Communication and Messaging Solution

POMONA, CA. — June 18, 2012 – Auto-Graphics, Inc., a leading provider of tools, technologies and services that enable libraries to provide personalized access to physical and digital collections anytime, anywhere, today announced the integration of TALKINGtech’s i-tiva automated interactive communication and messaging solution with its VERSO™ Library Management Platform. With integration of i-tiva to VERSO, libraries now have the option to offer end users access to account information and alerts via outbound phone calls and text messaging services. This efficient automatic self-service solution simultaneously extends the hours of the library while significantly freeing up library staff time.

“This technology collaboration provides VERSO libraries with the flexibility to expand library services and offer convenient communication options without adding additional staff,” said Albert Flores, vice president of sales and marketing at Auto-Graphics. “By leveraging best of breed technology solutions, VERSO enabled with i-tiva provides library staff with a robust set of tools to enhance communication between libraries and the communities they serve.”

Through this integration, VERSO customers will have access to i-tiva’s outbound MESSAGE solution which delivers library notifications such as overdue or holds notices to end users either over the telephone or via text messaging. All outgoing transactions are logged within VERSO providing library staff with a complete historical account of all library communications sent to end users. In addition, VERSO will support notifications in the event that a phone call fails, users will receive a paper notice or email reminder the following day.

“We are excited about this opportunity to partner with Auto-Graphics. Auto-Graphics is a well respected company providing library automation and eContent discovery solutions. This integration will provide their vast customer base the benefit of reducing costs associated with patron notification while allowing self service capabilities,” said Sean Young, General Manager North America at TALKINGtech.

The integration between Auto-Graphics’ VERSO and TALKINGtech’s i-tiva will be demonstrated June 22 – 25, 2012 at booth #530 during ALA Annual 2012 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
